How To Travel To Andaman

The only way to reach Andaman Island comfortably is by Air. But that does not come cheap. The airport is located at Port Blair, which is named as Veer Savarkar International Airport also known as Port Blair Airport. There are plenty of hotels available. The other option to reach Port Blair is by Ship which taken 2 days and is like travelling in a general compartment of a local Train.

The different island to be visited during your travel to Andaman is Havelock Island & Neil Island apart from Portblair. There is regular ferry service between Portblair-Havelock Island-Neil Island and vice versa. Govt ferry is available but the quality is pathetic, It is always advice able to travel by Private company owned Ferry which has a seating capacity from 150 to 250 passenger.

It is advisable to take the help of tour operator to arrange your trip, be it a family or a Honeymoon. These guys are real professionals and can arrange your tour very well at a very good price, but don't expect them to give 4-star hotels at a price of 2 stars.
